About Réka
Réka Görömbey is a Hungarian national based in Brussels. She learnt drawing & painting from various artist-professors in Budapest and Brussels.
At first sight, the main focus of her paintings is landscape, depicting natural or urban views. Her underlying ambition however is to convey a certain atmosphere, an air of mystery, the invisible behind the visible.
Réka feels inspired by silent, vast, empty spaces, either abandoned or with solitary figures/objects. She also loves the ambiance of places with a touch of darkness and twilight. Sceneries that transpire something enigmatic, profound and a sense of the beyond…
Besides landscapes Réka is also experimenting with portraits and still lives.
Her preferred mediums are soft pastel, charcoal and pencil.
Her works are regularly exhibited in collective exhibitions of the Art Club she is member of.
